You just got engaged and are so excited to begin planning your big day! The first step is to choose a wedding venue. This can seem like a daunting task because wedding venues are notorious for being very expensive. There's no need to be afraid. Richmond has some fabulous wedding venues that won't break your budget.

If you are on a tight budget, my advice is to book your wedding during the "off-season." The "off-season" runs from November 1 - April 30. Most wedding venues offer discounted rates during this time period. There is absolutely nothing wrong with getting married during these months. The weather in November is usually gorgeous. Fall leaves still cling to the trees and there is a nice, fresh crispness to the air. Getting married the first week in November as opposed to the last week in October can save you some big bucks. Getting married on a Friday night or a Sunday morning is also significantly cheaper than having a Saturday wedding.

Another thing to look for is a flexible wedding venue, and Richmond has a lot of them. By "flexible" I mean a venue that has multiple pricing options for different sized weddings. Many venues have multiple locations on their property where you can get married or host a reception. Different locations at the same venue cost different rates.

Here is a list I have compiled of Richmond wedding venues to match budgets of all sizes. All of the pricing is based off Saturday weddings during the off season. Prices may fluxuate.
