This past Spring we had the pleasure of photographing Meg and Ian MacDonald's beautiful farm wedding on Ian's family's land in Doswell, Virginia. Their ceremony took place at a historic church that Patrick Henry attended as a child. The reception was filled with mason jars, hay bales, horses, and a blue grass band. It truly was a stunning wedding.
The Bride and her bridesmaids got ready at the Henry Clay Inn, a historic Georgian Style country Inn in Ashland Virginia. Meanwhile, the Groom and his men played a game of Ultimate Frisbee before the wedding.
The ceremony took place in a quaint, historic church that Patrick Henry attended as a child. It is a MacDonal family tradition to be married in this church. The church was filled with close friends and family.
The MacDonald's family land out in Doswell, Virginia was absolutely gorgeous. There were so many great places to take wedding portraits. The Bride, Meg, was willing to do just about anything to make her photos stand out. Meg and Ian even climbed ontop of a a giant hay bale at one point.
The reception was filled with mason jars, signature drinks, and blue and yellow accents. A blue grass band called Jackass Flats supplied the tunes and had everyone dancing late into the night. We've never seen a Bride and Groom have so much fun out on the dance floor!
