What happens when two high school sweethearts reconnect years later? They get married!
Mallory + Paul reconnected a couple years ago, and it was obvious the sparks were still there. They picked up right where they left off, and an engagement followed a few months later. When you know, you know.
We have been photographing Mallory for years. Whenever we have a new idea for a shoot or a new technique we want to try, she is our girl! Her fun-loving, energetic spirit shines through in photos and our shoots with her have always been our favorites.
When we found out Mallory + Paul had gotten engaged, we were so excited! David and I went to high school with both of them, so we have known Paul for years as well. We were beyond excited when they asked us to photograph their wedding day.
Mallory is a lover of vintage pieces, bright red accents, and timeless touches. When she told me she wanted to have a winter wedding, I knew it would be filled with the perfect blend of elegance + spunk.
Her long-sleeved wedding dress was stunning. It's classic features perfectly complemented the bright red gowns she chose for her bridesmaids.
Paul looked very dapper himself, choosing to wear a white tuxedo jacket that added to the timeless feel.
Their ceremony included a surprise musical performance by her father and one epic first kiss. Upon exiting the ceremony, Mallory's dog, Charlie, was there waiting for them and we took their first family photo!
As I said before, Mallory is a lover of all things vintage. So, Paul surprised her with a vintage getaway car to head to their reception in.
During their portraits, it started pouring down rain, so we had the two of them hop into the car and we photographed through the window. This elevated that timeless feel, and I am so in love with how those photos turned out.
Their reception was filled with delicious food, lots of laughter, and so much dancing. Mallory + Paul even got on stage with the band and showed off their moves! They ended the evening with a rose petal send-off.
This truly was an amazing day, and I cannot wait to see what life has in store for Mallory + Paul. Congratulations to the new Mr. + Mrs. Franklin!
