Part One: Knot Untied

My favorite part about winter is that things slow down just a little bit, and it gives David and I a chance to do some shoots just for fun. This styled shoot has been in the works for a while now. We wanted to do a two part shoot -- half bridal -- half boudoir. We wanted it to be elegant with bold colors and have a little bit of a retro feel.

We brought in three incredible vendors and one amazing model to help us make our vision a reality. We took the photos in Paisley & Jade's showroom and were able to mix and match their eclectic furniture to create the perfect look.

Christine and Jennifer at Urban Set Bride let us come in and try on all different kinds of wedding dresses in order to find the perfect one. They had so many ridiculously cool dresses in all different kinds of styles. Everything was so unique and had tons of personality that is was hard to choose, but we ended up finding the absolute perfect dress. Choosing a wedding dress was so much fun, it made me wish David and I could get married all over again!

We worked with The Green Flamingo to come up with the bouquet. I knew I wanted something with rich, vibrant jewel tones and deep reds, but other than that I was totally lost. I shared my inspiration with Alexis, and she ran with it. What she ended up creating was even better than what I had envisioned.

And then there is miss Mallory Kate. David and I love Mallory. She has helped us out with modeling and makeup on so many shoots and always comes through for us. She is so open minded and down for just about anything. She is wonderful to work with, so much fun, and not to mention absolutely gorgeous!

We also had my brother, Austin, our lead videographer on video. He is going to be making a really rad behind the scenes video that will be released with part two (the boudoir part) of the this "Knot Untied" series.

I am just so blown away by how everything came together and all the amazing people involved. Hope you enjoy the photos and be on the look out for part two next week!!
