I get nervous going to the dentist, so believe me when I say I understand that you are nervous and having boudoir photos taken is most likely totally out of your comfort zone. But don't worry! I will be there to guide you through the entire shoot and give you constant direction.

Because boudoir shoots are simultaneously exciting and terrifying, I wanted to share a few tips with you for making the most of your boudoir experience!

Choose outfits you feel confident in

Confidence is key with boudoir shoots. Go to a store or order a bunch of different outfits online and try them all on. See what flatters your body most and makes you feel the most confident. Not every outfit has to be revealing lingerie either. Oversized sweaters, pj sets, and overalls can all make for some very fun and sexy boudoir photos.

Diversify the looks

Most of our boudoir packages include multiple outfits, so make sure to diversify your looks. Choose different styles or colors of lingerie. Mix in everyday clothing items like your favorite sweater or one of his button down shirts. The more variety you get from your shoot, the better.

Get your hair + makeup done

Get glammed up! Like I said, confidence is key with these shoots and often a little hair + makeup can go a long way to making you feel like your best self. Get your hair + makeup done before you arrive or come to our studio and we will have our stylist their to glam you up!

Get a wax

If you are brave enough, consider getting a wax!

Accessorize

Now is the time to accessorize! Bring some heels, jewelry, robes, oversized sweaters, kimonos - you name it. Accessories can bring so much personality to a boudoir shoot. If you're going for a bridal boudoir look make sure to bring a veil, garter, bouquet, or even your wedding dress!

Paint your nails

Go get that manicure! You want to look polished and put together in these photos, so you can't overlook the small details

Practice in the mirror

I know this sounds silly, but practicing in the mirror can really help. Try out different facial expressions and poses!

Bring a friend

Bringing one supportive friend along to your shoot can really be a huge help especially when it comes to easing your nerves. They can cheer you on throughout your entire session. They will also be able to see all the photos we take on a monitor that is set up in our studio.

Don't use white deodorant

White deoderant can get on the lingerie, so make sure to use a gel deodorant for the best results.
