It's normal to start getting nervous as the days draw nearer to your boudoir shoot. You want to be relaxed and ready to go when the day arrives, so we put together a little checklist to ease your worries. Make sure you check off all of these helpful tips to ensure that there aren't any hiccups when it comes time for your shoot!
â–¢ Make sure all of the tags are cut off of your lingerie.
â–¢ Get a proper bra fitting.
â–¢ Wax or shave off unwanted hair. A useful tip is to wipe rubbing alcohol after you shave to avoid razor burn.
â–¢ Don't forget lotion to make your skin feel soft and sensual.
â–¢ Get your nails done.
â–¢ Don't forget accessories! Pearls, thigh highs, jewelry, props, your beau's button down, ect.
â–¢ Bring a lint roller! You'll thank me later.
â–¢ Bring double sided tape. Depending on how the photographer positions you, your lingerie might not lay flat against your body on its own.
â–¢ Bring extra makeup and makeup remover just in case.
â–¢ Drink plenty of water the night before to stay hydrated and keep your skin clear.
â–¢ Map out the distance and time needed for travel to the studio. It's better to be a little early than late.
Don't forget to relax and have fun! Your boudoir session is a chance to celebrate your individuality!
Life Update! It has been an amazing 10 years of photographing portraits of all kinds in RVA! It was an amazing chapter in our lives, and we are ready to move on to the next. We will be shifting our business to solely focus on our commercial and editorial photography work, and unfortunately that means we will no longer be accepting bookings for our other photography services. Thank you for being on this journey with us and trusting us to document so many meaningful moments. You can check out our new work by heading to jadaanddavid.com or following us on instagram @jadaanddavid.
