Should You Get Your Hair + Makeup Done For Your Boudoir Shoot

Boudoir shoots are meant to make you feel empowered. Often times, in order for that to happen you need to feel confident and comfortable in your own skin. When it comes to makeup, everyone is different. Some people wear tons of it while others feel uncomfortable with even a little lipstick. Each individual needs to do what feels right for them.

Personally, I think having your hair + makeup professionally done is a great idea! It takes the stress off of you because you don't have to worry about it. And regardless of how glammed out or natural you'd like your makeup to look, the pros can make it happen!

If you are haing your hair + makeup professionally done, here are a few key areas to focus on:

• The Eyes
  • Go all out with eye makeup. Your eyes can do all sorts of talking during boudoir photos so you really want them to stand out. False lashes are always a great way to draw even more attention to your eyes.
• The Lips
  • Go a little bolder than you normally do. Add in a fun pop of color and make your lips stand out.
• The Hair
  • Wear your hair down. When posing boudoir photos, I use hair as a prop. So many poses involve of running our hands through your hair, so wearing it down is always best.
