Rohan + Naz's Washington DC wedding is overflowing with glitz and glam! We started the day at the amazing Willard Intercontinental Hotel. Have you ever heard the word "lobbying"? Well it comes from all the politicians hanging out in the lobby of this hotel.
The lobby is absolutely gorgeous with marble columns and stunning details. Naz had a giant bridal suite with views of DC. It made for a perfect getting ready location.
Rohan + Naz opted to do a first look before the ceremony. The plaza area outside the hotel provided us with the ideal location. Rohan + Naz's reactions were priceless and it was such a special moment to be a part of. We were also able to rock out all of the wedding party and couples portraits before the ceremony which was amazing. It allowed their wedding party to join the party right after the ceremony, which they all greatly appreciated.
This was no ordinary wedding ceremony. It was a Persian wedding ceremony - complete with a stunning Sofreh. The traditions during the ceremony were so interesting and involved the whole wedding party and all the wedding guests. The bride and groom ate honey and an intricate lace tapestry was held over them.
After the ceremony the reception kicked off with lots of music and dancing. Rohan + Naz changed into formal Indian attire and then rejoined the reception. Both Indian and Persian food was served at dinner and it could not have been more delicious.
This day was filled with so much energy, love, and meaning. It truly was an honor to be a part of. Congrats to the new Mr. + Mrs. Gupta!
