I've been married long enough to know that it's filled with all sorts of unexpected things. The true test is how you weather the storm together and make it through all of those tough times. This engagement session beautifully mimics that sentiment.
Having rainy weather the day of your wedding or of your engagement shoot is always a little bit of a bummer. No one really wants that to happen...we can't control everything though so of course it does. Many couples call to reschedule their engagement sessions when unexpected weather occurs, but every now and then we come across a couple who is willing to embrace the rain.
Kristen + Ken didn't let the rain put a damper on their engagement photos. It rained literally the entire time, and they just rolled with it. We had the entire park pretty much to ourselves and were able to produce some incredibly romantic engagement photos.
These two got engaged in Japan, so the Japanese garden at Maymont was the perfect setting for their engagement shoot. They put together an amazing picnic complete with sake and a gorgeous rose bouquet. They even let David and I have a shot! Who knew I liked sake?!
I love how these two weathered the storm together and let their love shine through. Congratulations to Kristen + Ken!
