This was one awesome engagement shoot! We spent our Valentine's Day afternoon exploring all over downtown with Laura + Kale. These two got engaged a few months back and then Kale's job unexpectedly transfered him to Richmond for a few months. Laura has still been living in Nebraska, so they have been making the long distance thing work until Kale gets to head home in May.

Laura came to visit for Valentine's Day, and it was her first time ever visiting Richmond. They wanted to make sure their engagement photos reflected a little bit of the city and the heart of Richmond, so we started their shoot in Shockoe Bottom. We found all kinds of fun little nooks to photograph in. My favorite spot was a bright turquoise blue wall that David found. Once we finished up there, we headed towards the canal walk. We walked all up and down in it all the way over to Brown's Island. We had a great time exploring with the two of them and wish them all the best!
