Behind the Scenes with Bright Body

David and I love people who are daring enough to go out on a limb to follow their passions, which is why we love to support local small businesses any chance we get. So much work, love, blood, sweat, and tears is behind every small business. I know how much work it takes and how stressful it can get at times. I also know how worthwhile it is when you start to see your dream come to fruition. Because of this passion, we have begun to explore brand photography for other small businesses with big dreams.

We recently moved into a new studio space that set out to bring local artists and artisans together. Gabi Day is the owner, founder, and boss babe behind Bright Body. Bright Body is about passionately researched and lovingly handcrafted beauty products that are good for our bodies, our communities, and our environment. All of her beauty products are made by hand in small batches using only the safest and freshest ingredients. Gabi, also happens to be our studio neighbor, and I had the pleasure of photographing her as she made some of her amazing beauty products.

Small business owners wear so many different hats, and I really wanted to show that with Gabi's lifestyle brand shoot. We went step-by-step through how she hand makes and packages some of her best selling products. It was amazing to see the passion, care, and attention to detail that went into every step.
