Candid Child Portraits

Kids are one of my favorite subjects to photograph. They are so honest with their emotions and can stare right at the camera and just be themselves. In my opinion, portraits of children should be fun, playful, and relaxed. I definitely prefer a candid photo of a child over a staged one. Every time David and I photograph kids, we try to make the shoot as fun and easygoing as possible.

We do these shoots at parks, on playgrounds, or even in your own backyard. We want the kids to feel comfortable and encourage them to bring pets and some of their favorite toys. We let them run around and have some fun while we shoot lots of candids of them. We also always strive to capture intimate moments of them with their parents and siblings. We want these photos to be something you will treasure for years to come.
