In all honesty, recent events have rocked the wedding world. It has forced so many couples to postpone or rethink their wedding plans, but it definitely has not stopped people from getting married - love always wins.
India + Ben had a large wedding planned at Seven Springs on May 30th, 2020. When they realized that was no longer a possibility, they decided to have an intimate backyard wedding on their original date and postpone the large event to May 30th, 2021 to celebrate their first anniversary!
I love the "let's do something small now and celebrate big later" concept. India + Ben's intimate backyard wedding was so much more than I ever could have imagined though. They transformed the backyard into their very own wedding venue complete with a stunning ceremony arbor by Olivera Floral design, a reception tent, and decor filled with gorgeous florals + bright colors.
They kept the guest list very small, only inviting immediate family and their closest friends (and a couple of adorable pups!). There was meaning intertwined into every aspect of that day. As her sister, Kelsey, put it, "It was beautiful, it was intimate, and it was perfect. It was so different than they had originally planned, but it was steeped with intention and love."
Personally, intimate weddings + elopments like that are what really speak to my soul. The relaxed nature of smaller events allows you to focus on the true purpose of the day, and really lets love shine.
Congratulations to India + Ben! This day was such a joy to be a part of and we cannot wait to celebrate all over again next year!
