How to Photoshop a Dinosaur Into Your Photo

Our clients Will and Hannah are really into Jurassic Park and wanted to do something a little special with one of their photos. They sent us some inspiration that they saw online of a wedding party running from T-Rex. They asked if this was something that we could do for them and of course I said yes. Now the only question was, how would I get a dinosaur to the wedding? I came up with two ways. I found that I am not great with genetics so I went the second route. 

 

The First Way (Genetics):

Step 1:

Find a mosquito that bit a dinosaur and then was immediately incased in tree sap. 

 

Step 2:

Drill into the fossilized tree sap "Amber" so that you reach the mosquito.

 

Step 3: 

Remove the blood from the mosquito and extract the dinosaur DNA.

 

Step 4:

Mix the dinosaur DNA with a frog's DNA.

 

Step 5:

Invite your new dinosaur friend to your wedding.

 

The Second Way (Photoshop):

Step 1:

During your portrait session at the wedding have everyone pretend that a dinosaur is coming from a single direction.  Count to three and have everyone scream. Since it was getting dark we had everyone look to the left and scream!

 

Step 2:

Find an image of a dinosaur that matches your scene. You want this photo to be 300 dpi like your photograph. We found ours on iStock. 

 

Step 3:

Position your dinosaur picture on your photograph and begin to cut him out. 

 

Step 4:

Burn and blend your character into the scene.

 

Step 5:

Color Correct the image and save!
