Toddler Painting Studio Shoot

Jadas cousin's family is quickly becoming our muse family. They have two daughters, Harper and Norah, and they are ridiculously cute and down to do any of our crazy ideas. We have been photographing both of these gorgeous girls since they were in their momma's belly! These shoots get more fun and adventurous as time goes by. 

Jada has been very excited about photographing kids lately. She wanted to take it beyond the traditional "smile and look at the camera shots." Her vision was to do a shoot that really embraced childhood and let kids be themselves. Jada came up with the idea of photographing a toddler as they painted.  She thought it would be fun to watch their imaginations explore. Before the shoot my brain took it one step further. I thought, what if we made Harper be a part of the painting? I told Jada this idea and what we created was a toddler, covered in paint, making art. Harper is 2, which is the perfect age for a creative shoot like this!

Harper had so much fun making a mess and embracing her creativity! It was amazing to watch her mix colors and express herself through art as we took adorable photos of her!
