Wes + Grace's Santa Monica Beach Photo Shoot

As much as I love Richmond, I have been dying to photograph somewhere new. New settings always spur more creativity. Photographing along the California coast has been a dream of mine for a while and this trip brought it to life!

David and I had the best time in California! It's one of my favorite trips we have ever taken, and I think that's largely because we went into it with no expectations. We just wanted to adventure and explore, so we pushed time tables aside and went wherever the day took us. And it took us to some VERY cool places!

Wes + Grace work at SpaceX together, and if you know David well, it's no secret that he is obsessed with SpaceX. He watched every launch and is always up-to-date on their latest projects. So, when Wes + Grace offered to give us a tour of SpaceX, David jumped at the opportunity. It was amazing to see ROCKETS being built right in front of you and gain a better understanding of how it all comes together.

As if that tour wasn't sweet enough of them, they jumped in front of our camera and let me photograph them on the beach just as the sun was setting over the ocean. The wind was blowing like crazy and they laughed throughout the entire session. Afterwards they took us out for one of my most delicious meals I have ever had - Ramen in little Tokyo at Tsujita LA Artisan Noodle. If you ever in LA make sure you check it out because it was insanely good and even thinking about is right now is making me hungry!

But seriously Wes + Grace are two of the kindest, sweetest people and made our California adventure even more fun. I only hope these photos do them justice!
