Old Photo Restoration

The past few weeks have reminded me how important photos are. It's so easy to get caught up in taking pretty photos of all the gorgeous wedding details or trying to come up with the coolest Instagram post, that you forget why photos are so important. It's easy to take photos for granted or just forget to take them all together.

When I got the news that my Grandpa passed away, the first thing I wanted to do was go through all of my photos and find as many photos of him as I possibly could. I felt like those photos were a tiny bit of him that I still had left. It made me so happy to remember all of the fun and goofy moments we shared over the years. When I saw photos of him with a big grin on his face, I could almost hear his laugh! Those are photos I will treasure forever.

One of David's favorite hobbies is restoring old photographs. He can work some serious magic on old, torn, faded photos from as far back at the early 1800's. Every time I see what he is capable of it blows my mind - I still don't understand how someone can be so talented! He brings new life to these photos that otherwise would have been destroyed.
