Brooke + Nevin's Engagement Shoot on The James

I really loved this engagement session! We had so much gorgeous golden light pouring in and an amazing couple to work with. Brooke + Nevin are so sweet. They are getting married in Hawaii in September of 2015 -- HOW AWESOME IS THAT?!

Brooke is actually from Hawaii. Growing up she had a meyer lemon tree in her backyard and mentioned that to Nevin on one of their first few dates. A couple days later Brooke came home to find a baby meyer lemon tree sitting on the table with a sweet note from Nevin. Sometimes the little surprises you do for someone mean the most. It was something really special for Brooke, so she brought 2 of the lemons from the tree with her to the shoot. It was the perfect backdrop to photograph her ring on. Also, if you haven't tried a meyer lemon go do it now! They are absolutely delicious, and I am so grateful to Brooke for telling me about them.

I just thought this shoot was magical. So much love, light, and happiness. I hope you all enjoy the photos! Congratulations to Brooke + Nevin!
