Photo Restoration: A Couple Pasted Together

Last week a client came to us with some vintage photographs. She is trying to put her family history together through old photographs. Some of the photos have been through a lot over the years and they need some restoration. The first photo that she needed to have restored was a photo of her parents. For years these two lived in seperate frames on the wall. Until one day when they were un-framed and she realized these two photos were actualy one. 

Below are some screenshots of my process bringing these guys back together!

Step 1: bring them into photoshop.

Step 2: line up the two photographs.

Step 3: crop the photo.

Step 4: pull the saturation out and bring back to true Black and White.

Step 5: paint, clone, heal, and blend.

Step 6: remove background shapes and darken.
