When Should a Photographer Eat During a Wedding Reception

When you're shooting a wedding, you don't want to miss any key moments! So many things are happening, and often if you turn your back for a second you'll miss an important shot. But when you're moving around and on your feet snapping photos for hours, you definitely work up an appetite! There really is only 1 time on a wedding day when it's safe to step away for a few miututes and refuel.

The best time for a wedding photographer to eat is at the same time the bride + groom are eating. No one likes photos of them stuffing their face with food. So, whenever the bride + groom sit down to enjoy their wedding feast, that's your cue to step away and load up on food yourself!

If your couple is having a plated dinner, make sure the caterer knows to have your meal ready at the same time as the couples.
