We have photographed a ton of boudoir shoots and I would like to share a few tips that I think will make your photo shoot better.

Don't give it all away!

The best moments are the ones right before something is supposed to happen. Right when you are about to see everything but can't. Leave some space for your significant other's imagintaion. Don't give it all away.

Bring a positive friend.

We always recommend bringing a friend because they see things your photographer may miss, and they can make you feel a lot more comfortable. When you are thinking about who to bring, make sure you bring a friend that will motivate you and make you feel positive about your body.

Accessorize.

While a nice outfit is everything, finding the perfect jewlery always gives a photograph a nice extra touch. We recommend going somewhat bold with your accessories. Another great way to accessorize your shoot is by using an article of his clothing with your jewlery.

Bring more lingerie than you need.

We always recommend that you bring more lingerie than you actually need. When you get to your shoot, show all of your lingerie to your photographer. As a group you can pick the best outfits for your photos. Often times some lingerie that looks good on a shelf will not look good through a lens.

Does it fit?

Make sure your lingerie fits your body. Remember that you are being photographed. You don't want to wear an outfit that is too big or that is too small and pinches.

Trust your photographer.

When you hire a photographer, make sure you LOVE their work. If you hire a professional they will know exactly how to photograph you and how to pose you. Trust and listen to them, and your photographs will look beautiful.

Inspiration is good.

Do not try and replicate what you see online. It is great to find inspiration, poses, and ideas off images online, but it rarely ever works out when you try to duplicate them. The best photographs happen when you are acting natural and true to yourself. You are not the girl in the photo and your photographer may have a completely different style of photographing. Document your experience with your photographer's style.
