Aurora's First Birthday Photo Shoot

Studio kids shoots are some of my very favorite sessions!! Sometimes we have finger painting parties, others are more traditional, and every now and then we get to go cake smash crazy!

Little Aurora is about to turn ONE, so we took some photos to celebrate. I cannot believe how fast this past year has gone by because it feels like just yesterday we were taking her newborn photos and she was so teeny tiny.

She's grown so much this past year, but she still loves the camera as much as ever. Her mom, Anna, picked up the most adorable flower crown from Strawberry Fields for her to wear during her shoot. We took a series of photos of Aurora wearing the same white outfit her mom and grandmother wore when they were her age. Then, we brought out the cake!

Aurora wanted absolutely nothing to do with the cake and it was hilarious. You never know how kids are going to react during these shoots, and that's what makes them so funny. I love all of her facial expressions, and I hope she looks back on these photos in 20 years and bursts out laughing.
